Calculating Average Velocity or Speed

To calculate average velocity, take the displacement over time; for speed, take distance over time. 

And always remember units! My roommate’s a Physics major, and I’ve seen him tear his hair out over some wacky complicated problems with fucked up unit arithmetic. 

As much as I love physics from a distance, I’m soooooooo glad I’m not a Physics major.
